Lorraine La Rose, LL.B. (Hons), LEC (Hons)

Lorraine La Rose has been with Samuels Richardson & Co since 2003. Prior to her pursuit of legal studies Lorraine attained an Associate of Arts Degree from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in 2001.

In Fall 2008 she graduated from the University of Guyana with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons). In 2010, she obtained a Legal Education Certificate from the Council of Legal Education, Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago graduating on the Principal’s Roll of Honour.  

During her studies at the Hugh Wooding Law School she represented the law school on a three-member team at the Annual Lex Caribbean Interviewing Competition in the Bahamas, where her group placed second. Lorraine again represented the law school in 2009 this time in the Lawyers-Can-Cook Competition, a charitable event, where her two-member team took home the Best Meat Dish prize. Lorraine was also the editor of the “Wise Counsel” newsletter while at law school.

In November 2010 Lorraine was admitted to practice at the British Virgin Islands Bar and now holds the position of Associate Attorney with Samuels Richardson & Co. Her areas of practice include civil litigation and property, probate, corporate and commercial law.
